About this Conference

The 2026 BCAR in Practice Conference is designed for construction professionals who need to manage building control compliance, certification, inspections, product evidence, technical documentation and project handover on live projects.

With recent Building Control updates, revised fire safety requirements, increased focus on market surveillance and construction product evidence, and ongoing scrutiny around completion certification, project teams need to be clear on what must be checked, recorded, submitted and closed out before sign-off.

This practical conference will focus on the issues that cause delays, queries, rework and compliance problems in real projects, including commencement notices, fire safety and disability access certificate triggers, Assigned Certifier responsibilities, inspection readiness, common defects, phased completion, refurbishment and change of use, Part L compliance, construction products and coordination across the project team.
