Adele Sumner is an insurance market recognised dedicated and passionate counter fraud professional. With over 27 years experience of developing, designing and implementing strategies to detect and prevent insurance fraud and the associated frauds, UK, internationally and globally. Adele has lead Fraud technology projects, intelligence and investigation teams, whilst managing Financial Crime risks including AML and Bribery and Corruption. Adele was the previous Chair of the General Insurance Fraud Committee and is passionate about the market strategy to combat insurance fraud across all lines of business. She is widely acknowledged for her expertise in the practical deployment and use of technology to identify fraud and has been an important figure in various fraud technology programmes at previous employers and at an industry level. Recently moving into independent consulting, Adele is keen to share her knowledge and expertise with many organisations to help beat the modern day fraudster. Adele holds a masters degree in fraud risk management and was awarded the Insurance Fraud Superstar in 2023.
