About this Conference

The 2025 Medical Negligence Conference will cover the most significant changes affecting clinical litigation and healthcare liability in Ireland. Topics include the €65.4 million reduction in State clinical care payouts and its implications for case valuation and strategy. The programme will address the CHI-related group claims involving over 2,200 families, maternity and obstetric litigation trends, and the impact of recent court decisions such as Germaine v Day on nervous shock claims. Sessions will also cover the operation of the new Clinical Negligence List in the High Court, current issues in consent and discovery, evolving expert evidence standards post-Morrissey, and legal developments in vicarious liability. The event provides up-to-date information for legal, medical, and risk professionals involved in medical negligence matters.
