Siobhan McSweeney RGN, RM is a highly experienced Nursing Consultant, Registered Case Manager, and Expert Witness with over 35 years’ experience across acute hospital management, clinical practice, and medico legal reporting. She is the CEO and founder of MCS Case Management Ltd, established in 2015, where she provides expert evidence, quantum cost of care reports, and comprehensive case management reports for individuals with catastrophic and complex injuries. Siobhan has extensive experience participating in expert meetings, including joint instruction cases, Scott Schedules, and collaborative reporting with opposing experts. Her work spans Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the UK, frequently acting in cases where Irish clients sustain catastrophic injuries abroad and are repatriated for rehabilitation. She is known for her practical, solution focused approach, ensuring early intervention and coordinated rehabilitation pathways that achieve strong outcomes. Prior to establishing MCS Case Management Ltd, Siobhan spent 16 years as Assistant Director of Nursing, Bed Manager, and Site Manager (Night Duty) at Tallaght University Hospital. In this senior leadership role, she conducted investigations into adverse incidents and complaints, identified systemic risks, and advised on measures to prevent recurrence—experience that directly informs her expert witness practice today. Through MCS Case Management Ltd, Siobhan provides specialist case management for clients with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, spinal injury, and other complex medical needs. Her work involves assessment, planning, coordination, and resource optimisation to support individuals and families adjusting to life changing injuries. Siobhan is a regular contributor to medico legal education and has participated in numerous national and international conferences, including events hosted by La Touche Training, CMSUK, BABICM, and the Brain Injury Group.
