Raoul Empey (BA BAI, MSC, CEng MIEI, CEM-I) has delivered training on Carbon, Energy and Sustainability literacy to over 3,000 public sector workers and countless more in the private sector. He is author of the AEE Climate Action Certificate international training series, and was a contributor to the International Organization for Standardization’s Net Zero Guiding Principles which was launched at COP27 in Egypt in November 2022 (ISO IWA 42). Raoul is now the President of the AEE Ireland chapter. Raoul is the Founder and Managing Director of Sustineo, a leading Irish sustainability consultancy that helps businesses take practical and meaningful sustainability actions. He has extensive experience as an energy consultant and a trainer, and he leads Sustineo’s work on carbon footprint measurement and reporting. Over the years, he has worked with many different types of businesses, from TV stations to aircraft leasing companies, to understand, measure and reduce their energy use and develop sustainability plans.
