Damien has over 20 years experience. He is Chartered Engineer member of Engineers Ireland and the Engineers Ireland “Pyrite Design Professional Register". He was on the National Standards Authority of Ireland Defective Block Committee as adviser in the development of I.S.465:2018 assessment protocol for assessment of buildings damaged with concrete blocks containing certain deleterious materials. Damien was appointed by Engineers Ireland to design and deliver the training programme which has led to the development of the Engineers Ireland list of Chartered Engineers considered competent to assess buildings damaged with concrete blocks constructed with concrete blocks containing certain deleterious materials such as free muscovite mica and/or framboidal pyrite.
