Arran Dowling-Hussey is a barrister, FCIArb qualified arbitrator, and both an accredited adjudicator and mediator. He has represented individual litigants, professionals, local authorities, government departments, sovereign wealth funds, and companies. He is called to the bars of England and Wales, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and British Virgin Islands. He also holds rights of audience in Dubai (DIFC), Abu Dhabi (ADGM), and Astana (AIFC) commercial courts. Arran is qualified, in England & Wales, to accept instructions directly. His practice focuses on commercial, chancery, and complex construction disputes under tight timelines. Arran served two terms on the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Board of Trustees (2017–2024) and is on the council of the Society of Construction Law and European Society of Construction Law. He is an Adjunct Professor at University College Cork and Gujarat Maritime University. He co-authored three editions of Arbitration Law, which has been cited and approved by the Irish Superior Courts, co-edited the Construction, Engineering and Energy Law Journal of Ireland (2015–2025), and has published roughly 75 articles.
