About this Conference

This year’s agenda will focus on emerging fire safety challenges in public buildings across Ireland. Key topics include lithium-ion battery risks, with case studies on safe storage and charging of e-bikes and similar devices. Updates to I.S. 3217:2023 emergency lighting standards will be covered, including compliance strategies for inspections, maintenance, and digital tracking.

Sessions will also address recent changes to fire legislation and Part B of the Building Regulations, alongside best practices in fire suppression systems and evacuation planning. Case studies will highlight effective fire drills and crowd management in complex public settings. Additional presentations will explore human behaviour during emergencies and the use of advanced detection technologies.
